Misty Nolan is a Licensed Master of Social Work providing services in Hobbs and Jal. Misty earned her Master in Social Work in 2019 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
Misty has experience in providing intense case management, treatment and safety plans, and therapeutic services for individuals, families, and adolescents who face hardships and barriers due to mental health concerns, incarceration, poverty, discrimination, and substance use. Misty’s experience includes collaborating with multiple agencies as a treatment team, educating individuals and families on mental health diagnoses, and building and implementing intervention plans. She also has experience in providing counseling for individuals incarcerated and post-incarceration for successful re-entry into society, including setting goals, building release and post-release plans for individuals, and collaborating with other agencies to prepare clients in an effort to reduce recidivism.
Misty is experienced in working with individuals and families who have experienced trauma, life transitions, PTSD, grief, substance use, and depression. She is an empathetic, highly motivated, and passion-driven individual, who collaborates with families and individuals to empower and develop the skills to live a productive and fulfilling life after surviving and overcoming hardships. Misty has a passion to work with adolescents and young adults, utilizing interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and client-centered, empowerment approaches.
